The latest offering from Japan’s top label Grasshopper, Ryokan (OOOD) has assembled a peachy, diverse bunch of tracks from the deep Hedfluxs’ remix of “Tunnel Visions” by Birds of Paradise – to Bristol’s very own (and proud) Occular who left us early.
We manage to salvage one of Occulars’ unfinished tracks “Dat ASS” with the collaborator and good friend James West finishing it off.
With the Bristol sound very much the root of this album, it reflects the cites’ diversity and its dangling pair of bollox. Every track on this album has a pair, and boy they are hairy…From fresh 2nd room beats to matured full-on gremlins, it is a joyful mix into the goblivion, InFinnity and beyond.
