Kineticz is the brain child of Shaughn Russel from Cape Town, South Africa.
Having been through 3 decades of multiple genres of likes and dislikes he eventually found himself at his first Trance festival in 2003 which was Earthdance hosted in Cape Town. He found himself submerged in an environment of pure love, been driven by thunderous rolling basslines with a multitude of psychedelic sounds that stimulated every atom in his body. Instantaneously hooked, he never looked back after leaving the house and electro scene behind him.Fast forwarding into 2008 he found himself yearning to be more involved in the psy scene and went on to conceptualising Psydtracked Productions which morphed into Luminos a year later in 2009. His work as a psychedelic artist can be seen at numerous events in South Africa and has been show cased in Mexico to date and now supplies events world wide with 5th dimensional psychedelic eye candy.

In 2011, after been involved with the scene for a couple of years already, his love for the full on sounds of daytime psy trance captured him and took him on a new journey within the culture. July 8th 2011 saw the first booking of Kineticz at a small indoor party which catapulted him into a stream of bookings from indoors to outdoors. 2 years down the line he has had the pleasure of playing alongside most of his favourite producers both local and international and has graced the stages at some well known productions in Cape Town as well as in Mexico and Japan. Choosing rolling bass lines with solid kicks, he seamlessly blends tracks together to create a variable array of psychedelic sounds to please the senses. With a track selection that is second to none he creates an atmosphere on the dance floor that takes his listeners on a journey through both time and space to a realm of full on psychedelic groove.
Kineticz was signed to Grasshopper Records based in Japan in September 2013 and is currently working on his production which promises to be nothing short of explosive day time goodness.
